  9. management and completely redesigned.

  12. The other way of printing. JetPilot is more than a simple PRINTER
  13. DRIVER for non PostScript(TM) printers. Because it uses the NeXT
  14. WindowServer color option as well as supporting data compression for
  15. high speed transfer to certain printers, it is remarkably fast.
  16. Another feature is the true 24 bit RGB support, which renders
  17. stunning results. By means of an error-diffusion algorithm it is
  18. possible to use a wider range of colors without loss of resolution.
  19. The driver is completely integrated into NEXTSTEP and accessed via
  20. the NeXT print panel for available options. Configuration is
  21. completely done in the PrintManager.app and supports any of the
  22. standard I/O interfaces (parallel, serial and TCP/IP-JetDirect).

  25. DEMO LICENSE
  26. This package contains the JetPilot 1.6 printer-driver for HP-DeskJet
  27. and HP-LaserJet type printers. All printer options are fully
  28. supported, with the exception that the word Demo is printed
  29. diagonally over each page. With the purchase of a license you will
  30. get a registration key which you can apply to the driver using the
  31. registration application. This will disable the demo mode and enable
  32. normal printing. The JetPilotReg.2.0.app will help you with an
  33. automatic order system to purchase a license key. A running release
  34. is 150 US$ outside the EC, members of the EC have to add 15% VAT.

  69. UPDATE FOR CURRENT USERS
  70. Currently we ship the release 1.6, which is available on ftp. All
  71. owners of previous releases may use is as -FREE- update. Simply
  72. mail/fax/print the Update License Form and add your old key. You will
  73. receive your free update key within 48 h (probably faster). The
  74. release 1.6 is a completely redesigned driver and solves many
  75. problems previous releases.
